Overview & Highlights

Welcome to PINOCCHIO - La Marina, a delightful Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta. With its charming atmosphere and attention to detail, this culinary gem is a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. Known for its inviting ambiance and exceptional service, PINOCCHIO offers an intimate dining experience that perfectly complements its picturesque seaside location.

From the moment you step in, you are welcomed by high ceilings and cozy décor that together create a spacious yet intimate setting. It’s this unique blend of charm and warmth that earns rave reviews from diners, like Stephen C, who appreciated the thoughtful food presentation and generous portions. The restaurant’s menu features a variety of traditional Italian dishes, with standout items such as the mushroom and asparagus salad, which has received particular praise for its fresh flavors and vibrant presentation.

Diners have noted that the Ravioli Al-Forna is a must-try, featuring exquisite flavors that leave a lasting impression. As Ralph Nickolas describes, the dining experience is accentuated by attentive service, where the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable meal. Moreover, the selection of affordable yet quality wines plays a perfect role in elevating the dining experience, making it accessible for all.

While the food and service shine, some guests have noted that the choice of music could better match the whimsical Italian theme. As echoed by several reviewers, a more traditional Italian soundtrack at a lower volume could enhance the overall experience, allowing for a relaxing atmosphere that complements the delicious food.

Whether you are indulging in their famous Lasagna Bites or enjoying a rich Pizza and linguine with clam sauce, every dish at PINOCCHIO - La Marina promises a taste of Italy. With reasonable pricing and notable culinary delights, it’s no wonder that guests like Yvonne Pearson are already planning their return visits. With a small adjustment in music selection and perhaps reconsideration of some table-side presentations, PINOCCHIO has the potential to elevate an already delightful experience to extraordinary heights.

If you find yourself in Puerto Vallarta, go ahead, treat yourself to a meal at PINOCCHIO - La Marina. You’ll walk away not just satisfied, but eagerly anticipating your next visit. After all, who can resist delicious Italian cuisine in a stunning waterfront setting?

I'm giving this a 5-star rating, but it's really more like a high-4, because any issues we found can easily be addressed to improve the experience. We had eaten at the location in GDL before and had a very nice time, so we were happy to see it now in the marina. The atmosphere is charming in a way that lends itself well to tourism. Even though the restaurant itself is fairly small, the high ceilings make it feel like a much bigger space. The staff was very nice, and our waiter was attentive. We didn't feel rushed in any way despite it being a busy weekend night. The food presentation is considered, the selection is good, the portions are generous. Overall, the food is above average, however the mushroom and asparagus salad is a standout, and I highly recommend it. We walked away with two main issues. The first issue was the music. The selection is totally out of place for the aesthetic and the environment. I know it's Puerto Vallarta, but the pop remixes blasting took away from the experience. Given the setting, the music needs to be more whimsical, it needs to lean more italian, and also the volume needs to be lowered. Easy fix. There are hundreds of other places I can listen to Dua Lipa in Puerto Vallarta if I want, a place named Pinocchio while I'm eating fettuccine is not one of them. The second issue was that we ordered the Pasta Ruota, which in any other restaurant is prepared tableside including their other location in GDL. We were told that because of space limitations they weren't preparing it tableside that night. Watching them make it is a big part of ordering it and getting the experience. It was a definite let down that they did not prepare it tableside. Like I said, the issues we had weren't huge and can easily be corrected if taken into consideration. I wouldn't run back immediately, but I will definitely return.

New Super cute Italian restaurant in the PV Marina. Excellent food and fantastic service. Very reasonable prices. Lasagna bites were so delish, I forgot to take a picture. Pizza and linguine w/ clam sauce did not disappoint. We’ll be back this week. Must try if you’re in the area. You’re welcome in advance

Had one of the best experiences at the Marina. The service, food and ambiance was spot on! Manager came twice to check up on us and the staff was at full attention. We had the cheese and meat “tabla” which was very plentiful and good. The house wine was excellent and at a very reasonable price per bottle. The Ravioli Al-Forna was to die for… the presentation and overall flavor was like no other I have tasted…WOW! Overall it gets a 5 Star +. That said, music was a bit to loud for such a great dining experience…tunes were good, but just a little to loud.

The absolute best dinner experience in the marina. Service and food was spectular from the drinks to the entrees. Our hostess, Joseline was amazing. Can't wait to come again.

The ravioli al horno with goat cheese is consistently wonderful. Service is quick, food is fairly priced. I always get to go because I’m usually passing by, but dining in seems like a good option as well.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pinocchio in Vallarta! The food was exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, and our server, Diocelin, truly elevated the evening with her warm hospitality and expert recommendations for food and wine pairings—she knows her stuff! The music created a perfect ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date or a quiet night out. If you’re in Marina Vallarta, Pinocchio is a must-try gem that delivers on every level!
